New Guest Speakers


On April 16th members of the Club joined others at St. Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth preparing hundreds of sandwiches for community members in need. The team at St. Joseph’s does outstanding work and this was a rewarding service project for our club!
Every year the Mountainside Rotary Club presents two scholarship awards. Recipients are chosen based on their participation in activities which develop good citizenship. The scholarship focuses on Service Above Self, our Rotary motto. Congratulations to Julia Hyman and Sophia Taskila students at Governor Livingston High School were awarded on June 5th.
Ray Freaney of the Rotary Club of Mental Health Advocates presented a powerful and educational program on Narcan on January 22, 2026. His message reinforced Rotary’s commitment to service, awareness and caring for the health and safety of our communities!

On February 21, 2026, the Mountainside Rotary Club delivered food to the Westfield Food Pantry as part of a community service project. We welcomed guest speaker Katherine Balch founder of LunchBoox at our weekly meeting held on January 29th, LunchBoox is a program that provides free books to students-often when students are picking up school meals.
